MICHAEL LEW is thrilled to be in Youngblood. Michael’s plays include A Better Babylon (Youngblood and Victory Gardens workshops); Stockton; Yit, Ngay (published in Plays and Playwrights 2006); and Moustache Guys (produced by 2G). He wrote Tenure for the 24 Hour Plays on Broadway. Some of his Youngblood shorts include In Paris You Will Find Many Baguettes but Only One True Love (Humana Festival/Heideman Award); The Roosevelt Cousins, Thoroughly Sauced (Sam French Festival Winner/publication); and Roanoke (Heideman Award Finalist). His short Magician Ben Vs. The Wizard Merlin is published by Smith & Kraus. He won the 2007 Battle of the Bards and is the recipient of a TCG Young Leaders of Color Fellowship and a Sloan Foundation commission. Other writing residencies include Ma-Yi Writers’ Lab and Old Vic New Voices. He was a Westinghouse Finalist and surfs a 9’6” Hamilton Stylist II whenever he’s back home in La Jolla.
